The Senator representing Adamawa Central District, Aminu Iya Abbas, has expressed deep regret over the demise of a former member representing Gombi constituency, Hon. Jerry Kundisi, whose transition has been announced by his family.
In a condolence message through his Yola Media office to the Adamawa State Government, the people of Adamawa Central Senatorial District and Gombi Local Government Area, the Senator said he was saddened by news of the death of his former colleague with whom he had a productive working relationship.
Senator Abbas specifically condoled all their former honourable colleagues whom they have worked with in the Adamawa State House of Assembly over the demise of their dependable senior colleague (Field Marshall) as they fondly called him.
Aminu Iya Abbas who served as as the speaker of the 7th Assembly, said he and the late Jerry Kundisi worked in the Fifth Assembly from 2011 to 2015, during which he was serving for the 3rd time while the senator, then as member representing Uba/Gaya constituency was serving as first timer in the state legislature.
The Senator who is the chairman Senate Committee on Innovation, Science and Technology described the late former lawmaker as a colleague, friend, brother, confidant, and reliable stakeholder with whom he shared common views on the welfare of citizens and progress of the central zone and the state as a whole.
He prayed Almighty God to forgive the shortcomings of the late Hon Jerry Kundisi. He equally urged members of the family of the deceased to be consoled by the remarkable accomplishments of the late lawmaker who passed on at the age of 65.
