The Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Bathiya Wesley has described the honour on Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as African Man of the year as a well deserved.
The Speaker through his chief press secretary Hyellamada Bernard congratulated the Governor and the good people of the state for achieving this feat.
He noted that the recognition done to the Governor by Women in Africa for transformation initiative is inline with his priority in promoting gender equality.
Rt Hon Bathiya Wesley maintained that the giant stride recorded by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in giving women sense of belonging is a true testament which reflects in women inclusion in governance.
The statements adds that apart from women inclusion in governance, it is a known fact that fresh air administration in the last five years accorded priority to women empowerment across the state till date.
Rt Hon Bathiya Wesley reiterate that the performance of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in the State is a practical thing that is known beyond the state, which the entire citizens are proud of his Excellency.
While calling on the people of the state to continue to support the project master, The Speaker believe that the award will spur the Governor to do more for the citizenry.
