SENATOR REV AMOS YOHANNA EMPOWERS 580 WOMEN, YOUTH




Hundreds of electorate in Adamawa Northern Senatorial District on Saturday, showered encomiums on the Senator representing the zone, Rev. Amos Yohanna Kumai, as he embarked on another phase of the distribution of assorted empowerment items.


Cross section of the constituents showered praises on their illustrious son for once more providing dividends of a good representation aimed at making life more meaningful to hundreds of them, urging him to continue with giant stride.


Pushing forth in his dedication and commitment to fulfilling his electioneering campaign promises once more, Sanator Amos, put smiles in the faces of 580 electorate and their families by distributing assorted empowerment items including water pumps, grinding and milling machines, poultry chicks and feeds.



Speaking at the epock-making event held at the Multi-purpose hall, Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Senator Rev. Amos Yohanna Kumai, appealed to the beneficiaries not to sell the items, and promised to roll out more empowerment programmes for the good people of his constituency.


In his remarks, the Chairman PDP Adamawa State, Barr AT Shehu commended the Senator for the empowerment programme, and described him as a committed and competent leader who is equal to the tasks.


AT Shehu, assured that the empowerment items will go along way in reducing the rate of unemployment and poverty in the zone, and applauded him for justifying the confidence reposed in him by his electorate.


He used the opportunity and appealed to the beneficiaries to utilise the items donated to them by the Senator and not to be sold, urging them to continue in supporting him to enable him continue to deliver on his mandate.


Several stakeholders who spoke at the historic event, said that the Distinguished Senator has been doing what he was elected to do, and called on him not to relent in his good works to his teeming electorate.


On their part, cross section of beneficiaries commended the Distinguished Senator for his effort in fighting poverty in the society, saying that the items will go along way in making them become self reliant.
