ADAMAWA ASSEMBLY RECEIVES 8 BILLS SENT BY FINTIRI



Adamawa State House of Assembly on Monday, received Eight (8) bills forwarded to it by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. News Platform 


The bills include a bill for a law to repeal the Adamawa State Accounting Amendment Law of number 22 of 2018, a bill for a law to repeal Adamawa State Condition of Service for Registrars, Court Clerks and Bailiffs Law number 8 of 2018.


Other bills are a bill for a law to amend Adamawa State and Local Government Audit Law 2021, a bill for a law to amend Adamawa State Debt Management Agency Law 2011, and a bill for a law to amend the Adamawa State Public Procurement law 2013.


Others include a bill for a law to repeal the Adamawa State new Condition of Service for Magistrate, Area Court Judges, Law Officers and Legal Officers Law number 11 of 2006 and a bill for a law to repeal the Adamawa State Condition of Service for Staff of Legislature Law number 6 of 2010.


Another bill received by the assembly is a bill for a law to amend the Adamawa State Physical Responsibility Commission repeal and enact law 2018.


The bills were received and read at the resumed plenary session on Monday, by the Speaker of the assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, as requested by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.


In a letter which was read at the hallowed chamber, Governor Fintiri requested the assembly to consider and legislate on all the bills. 


After the bills were read by the Speaker, the Majority Leader of the assembly who represents Demsa Constituency, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno, moved separate motions for the 1st reading of all the bills.


The motions were seconded by the Chief Whip of the assembly, Hon. Moses Yerima Zah (Michika), Hon. Adum John Alaba (Uba/Gaya), Hon. Paul Samuel (Mubi North), Hon. Geoffrey Bulus (Leko Koma), Hon. Japhet Hammanjabu(Verre) among others.
