INDEPENDENCE: BATHIYA FELICITATES WITH ADAMAWA CITIZENS



Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly Rt Hon Bathiya Wesley has saluted Nigerians and Adamawa citizens on Nigeria's 64th Independent. 


The Speaker in a statement signed by his chief press secretary Hyellamada Bernard  said Nigeria in the last 64 years of Independence passed through different moment with experience of both military and political administration.


Nigerians should use the experiences for sober reflection, where it was and it's present situation at 64.


Rt Hon Bathiya Wesley notes that 25 years of uninterrupted Democracy is something to be celebrated and there is a need for improvement in Nigeria's democratic process.


The Speaker maintained that despite the current economic hardships Nigerians are passing through,that should not be used as yard stick to bring disunity rather remain peaceful and United as a Nation. 


He used the medium to commend Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his leadership qualities that provided required democracy devidents and empowerment to the citizenry.


Rt Hon Bathiya Wesley reitrates that the efforts put in place by the Governor has helped alot in reducing the current hardships especially being among the first state to commence the payment of new minimum wage to its workers. 


In the area of security the Governor has done well in ensuring that the state is free from crime, the speaker added. 


As legislators and representatives of people at the grassroots, we will continue to work hand in hand with our amiable Governor in making life better for our people. 


He urged citizens to be their brothers keeper at all times and keep praying for peace and the unity of Nigeria and our dear state.
