ADAMAWA CP ORDERS ANTI-SHILA, SRRT TO CLAMP DOWN ON HOODLUMS



In his commitment towards fighting crime and criminality in Adamawa State, the Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo, has deployed operatives of the command to clamp down on hoodlums.


Those deployed to wage war against crime include Special Rapid Response Team (SRRT), Crack squad, Anti Shilla and Narcotics squads.


They are expected to carryout a tactical and intelligence -driven 24/7 raid against all violence crimes and their perpetrators who are hell bent on distrupting relative peace being enjoyed especially at this moment of Ember period.


This is contained in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, and made available to newsmen in Yola, Adamawa State.


SP Nguroje disclosed that the CP's deployment to checkmate all criminal activities is a further manifestation of the command's determination to providing peaceful and conducive atmosphere in the state.


"These deployments will surely assist in  coordinating timely response to distress calls and to clamp down on those found committing crimes for the law to take its course.


"The CP has also directed the Divisional Police Officers,  Commander 14/65pmf and Area Commanders to personally lead the operations in their respective Areas of Responsibility (AOR) to ensure total domination of the public space especially at nights", he added.


While re-emphasizing the firm determination of the command in ensuring safety of lives and property, the CP sought the cooperation of the public particularly those leaving outside the towns to report any suspicious character around their neighborhood to the  police station or call on these emergency numbers: 08089671313, 08130013347, 08030693476
