In continuation of his Local Government-to-Local Government tour in his constituency, the Senator representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District, Aminu Iya Abbas, has visited Yola North and South LGAs respectively.
During his visit to Yola North and Yola South, the Senator doled out a total sum of N20,000 cash to the stakeholders in the LGAs, urging them to submit 3 key projects of their interest for his consideration.
This brings to the total amount of N40,000 cash the Distinguished Senator presented to the stakeholders in Fufore, Girei, Yola South and Yola North.
Speaking during visit in the 2 LGAs, Senator Iya Abbas, urged the stakeholders to identify 3 key projects in each of the LGAs for consideration and execution.
He said the objective of the tour was to account for his performance at the National Assembly since his election in 2023 and avail him the opportunity of a direct feedback from his constituents on the impact of various projects/programmes he had initiated.
He added that the meeting will also provide him and his 2023 campaign council led by Alhaji Usman Mohammed Kaura the opportunity to know other challenges being experienced by his people.
According to him, in spite of the prevailing economic uncertainties in the last one year, he has been able to record some achievements in the areas of infrastructure and human capital development in the senatorial zone apart from his primary function at the NASS.
He explained that the discussion with the stakeholders will further spur him to do more for the people, saying that to whom much is given, much is required, promising to be a worthy representative of the district by ensuring that his constituents are not short changed in anyway in the scheme of things.
The Senator assured the gathering and all the good people of his district that he is fully ready and committed to do his very best towards ensuring that his constituents get the best any representative can give and attract worthy constituency projects and the dividends of democracy to the people.
While appreciating them for their support and understanding, the Senator said he is humbled and overwhelmed with the large turnout of the stakeholders in the two LGAs.
Speaking separately the critical stakeholders from the two LGA's including People's Democratic Party PDP chairmen, council chairmen and chairmen of stakeholders/elders forum, applauds the performance of the senator for initiating projects that have not only touched lives but brought succour to his constituents.
On his part the, Director General Aminu Iya Abbas 2023 campaign council Alhaji Usman Mohammed Kaura while announcing the donation of about 20 Million Naira cash to the stakeholders, elders forum and other party officials and supporters commended the senator for his empowerment and provision of palliatives among other assistance to vulnerable people.
In a remark a front line political alley and member of the AIA campaign council Alhaji Adamu Baba Mustafa revealed that, the senator has secured employment for various youths, provide solar street lights in various communities to tackle insecurity, educational support, water supply, roads and other infrastructural projects in the senatorial zone.
