The Executive Chairman Gombi LGC, Hon. Mark Ishaya, has felicitated with Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, on the auspicious occasion of the nation’s 64th independence anniversary.
In his goodwill message, Hon. Mark Ishaya, also extended his hearty felicitations to the entire Gombi electorate as they celebrate independence's anniversary.
He felicitated with the members of the national and state assemblies respectively, traditional and religious leaders and peace loving people of Gombi and appealed to them not to relent in praying for peace and progress of the LG, state and nation at large.
He stated that there is no doubt that Nigeria has been facing challenges since independence however expressed hope for better future, saying that Nigerians have reasons to celebrate unity and relative peace being enjoyed.
According to him, despite hurdles, Nigeria has made significant progress particularly since its returned to democracy 24 years ago, and stressed the need to strive to ensure the country remains one irrespective of religion and tribal differences.
He commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for his administration's remarkable achievements in critical sectors including heath, education, security, infrastructure, youth and women empowerment among others.
He called on his electorate and the state in general to continue to support the Governor to enable him deliver more dividends of democracy to the citizens, saying that their support and prayers will enable the present adminstration build a stronger, more prosperous state,
Hon. Mark Ishaya, used the opportunity and reiterated his commitment to provide good leadership for Gombi Local Government Area electorate, and thanked them for their support and cooperation.
