ADAMAWA: POLICE NAB 7 FOR VANDALISING 53 NNPC PIPELINES

 


The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested 7 persons for allegedly vandalising 53 pipelines belonging to Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).


The suspects include Umar Musa, 40, resident of Kaduna road, Abuja, Mohammed Hassan, 25, of Kasuwan Shanu Potiskum ,Yobe State, Adamu Abdullahi, 28, resident of Bununu Funai,Yobe State and Yakubu Adamu, 27, resident of Sabon Layi, Potiskum, Yobe State 


Others include Gabriel Wale, 40, resident of Mafoluku Oshodi, Lagos state, Abubakar Garba, 40, resident of Anwan Losa, Kaduna State and Aliyu Muhammad, 28, Darazo LGA Bauchi state.


A statement by the spokesman of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said that the suspects were arrested on the 25th October, 2024, following a tip off.


He said that the case had been meticulously documented for a comprehensive investigation, and that measures are underway to apprehend their collaborators who are operating along with them from behind the scene.


"These achievements underscore the Command's resolute dedication to safeguarding public assets and ensuring citizens' safety through collaborative community efforts", he added.
