ADHA Receives Hama Batta's Name for confirmation as Chair Peace, Conflict Resolution Comm



Adamawa State House of Assembly has received the name of Hama Batta, HRH, Homun Alhamdu G. Teneke, for confirmation as Chairman Part Time Peace, Conflict Resolution and Social Integration Commission Adamawa State. News Platform 


Others nominees for the commission include Dr. Jamila Suleiman, Executive Vice Chairman, Comrade Muhammed Bello and AVM, Nuhungu A. Zokala (rtd) as Permanent Commissioners of the Commission.


Likewise, the assembly has received the name of Shehu Yahaya Aliyu, for screening and confirmation as Executive Secretary Jimeta Ultra Modern Market.


Already, the assembly has referred the names of nominees for peace commission to the House Committee on Public Petitions, Public Service and Electoral Matters for screening.


While the committee on Commerce and Industry of the assembly is to screen the nominee for Jimeta Ultra Modern Market.


The Speaker of the assembly had while presiding the sitting, directed the committees to screen the nominees and report back to the assembly in the next 2 weeks. 


Earlier, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in a letter sent to the assembly and read by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, asked the members to screen and confirm the nominees.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM.
