Adamawa State High Court presided by the Chief Judge, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman, has adjourned a case against ACP Sherrif Abubakar Rabiu, Chief Security Officer (CSO) to erstwhile Governor Murtala Nyako for continuation of defense.
Justice Hafsat on Thursday, adjourned the matter to the 20th May, 2025 for continuation of defense shortly after cross examination of the Defense Witness (DW1) who is the defendant himself.
The former CSO has been standing trial since 2021 for allegedly converting 2 landed properties worth N80 million which he had purchased in the name of Sebore farms to himself and sold same properties at a later date.
On his appearance in court today, Sheriff was cross examined on his testimony before the court as well as exhibits tendered and admitted in evidence and marked as exhibits PW1A, PW1B, and PW 1B1.
The exhibits which were tendered by the prosecution and admitted in evidence include sales agreement, deed of agreement which contains Sebore Farms Limited as the Purchaser and 1 other which carries Sebore Farms Export Processing Zone and Ashran Nig. Limited.
He was cross examined by counsel to the prosecution J. A. Waya, after which his counsel, Rolland C. Enem, applied for adjourment to enable him call last witness.
Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman, granted the application and adjourned the case to enable the defense call its last witness.
