Adamawa Police Arrest 2 Ritualists for Beheading a Boy

 



The Adamawa State Police Command has recorded another breakthrough in its fight against crime and criminality by arresting 2 suspected ritualists for beheading 10 years old boy identified as Abdalla Lawali,


A statement by the spokesman of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said that the operatives attached to Divisional Police headquarters Jada arrested suspects for the murder of the boy in Jada Local Government Area.


He said those arrested unclude Ibrahim Abdul Malik, 27 years old and Aliyu Abdul Malik 18 years old both residents of Anguwan Sarkin Yamma, Jada.


He said that the accused were apprehended on the 16th March, 2025, for allegedly killing and beheading a 10-year-old Almajiri, identified as Abdalla Lawali, of Anguwar Dubai, Jada.


"The victim was reported missing on 7th March 2025. Since then search was ongoing to trace the missing child.


"Receiving the information on the suspects' involvement, the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, deployed security to the scene, where the decomposed body of the deceased was recovered in a bag.


"The search warrant was further executed at the suspects' residence where the head was buried in a shallow grave within the house premises.


"During investigation, the suspects confessed having committed the crime, and blamed the devil for their action.


"He condemned the barbaric action and directed the case to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for discreet investigation and deligent prosecution.


"He assured the general public that justice will be served and called on parents and guardians to be vigilant and report any suspicious movements around their neighborhood to the police". He added.
