Man Stabs Elder Brother to Death over N200 Piece of Meat in Adamawa



A Butcher identified as Monday Murya, allegedly stabbed his elder brother, Friday Murya to death during quarrel over N200 piece of meat.


Monday also stabbed Sinairu, one of his elder brothers who volunteered to separate them. Sinairu is currently receiving treatment at Dumne cottage hospital in Song LGA.


The ugly incident occurred at Waltadi community in Dunme State Development Area, Song LGA Adamawa state on Sunday 9th March, 2025.

 

News Platform gathered that quarrel ensued between Monday and the deceased after the later took N200 piece of meat without paying for it.


The suspect was said to have demanded for his money, but the deceased kept dragging him which resulted into a fight where the suspect used a knife and stabbed him.


The deceased was rushed to Modibbo Adama Teaching Hospital Yola in Adamawa state but could not survive it.


When contacted at the time of filing in this report, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said he is yet to briefed about the incident.
