Man, 35, Defiles 5 Yr-Old Girl in Adamawa

 


Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended a 35-year-old man, Abdullaziz Mohammed, for allegedly defiling a 5-year-old in Mubi North Local Government Area.


The arrest followed a complaint lodged by the victim’s father at the Mubi North Divisional Police Headquarters as contained in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje.


The father had reported that on the 17th March, 2025, the suspect lured his daughter into his grinding engine shop located at Kasuwan Borkono, Mubi North, and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her knowing fully well that she is a minor.


He said after receiving the report, the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, deployed operatives attached to the Mubi Division for immediate action and succeeded in arresting the suspect.


"The victim was immediately rushed to the medical facility in Mubi for medical examination and treatment". He said  


According to him, during interrogation the suspect confessed to committing the crime and is currently in police custody for investigation.


SP Nguroje said that the Command is ommitted in its fight against all forms of sexual abuses and gender-based violence, and urged parents and guardians to closely monitor their children and report individuals with questionable character to the police.
