Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has reiterated that whoever that will succeed him must be a grassroots politician, hardworking and incorruptible.
Fintiri, stated this at the Government House Yola, when the State Executive Council, Permanent Secretaries, Chairmen of Boards and Commission paid him Sallah homage.
He said that himself and his cabinet worked hard with the support of the masses to put the state on the path of progress, saying that it wouldn't have been possible if they give room for excuses and become lazy and corrupt.
While addressing them, Fintiri urged them to maintain consistency in their service to the state, eschew corruption and always avoid making excuses.
It could be recalled some months ago the Governor revealed the criteria of his successor while addressing PDP stakeholders at the banquet hall of the Government House.
He insisted that anybody that will succeed him must be a grassroots politician with proven integrity and hardworking.
