The Leadership of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN) has conveyed its heartfelt gratitude to the entire members of the church as well as dignitaries for gracing its 100th Annual Convention.
The LCCN's 100th Annual Convention was held from February 19th–23rd February, 2025, at Convention Ground in Demsa LGA, Adamawa.
The Archbishop of LCCN, Most. Rev. Musa Panti Filibus PhD in letter of appreciation on behalf of the Council of Bishops, the Board of Trustees and the entire leadership of LCCN, thanked all those who supported, participated, and contributed to the success of the historic event.
Archbishop Panti specifically appreciated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, his Deputy Governor, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, the Chief of Staff Dr. Edgar Amos and all members of the State Executive Council.
He thanked the CAN President, Archbishop Daniel C. Okoh, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Barr. Boss Gida Mustapha, the Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Wesley Bathiya, former and present members of the assembly.
The Clergy appreciated Senators including Rev. Binos Dauda Yaroe, Aminu Iya Abbas, Rev. Amos Yohanna, and the former Senator Ishaku Abbo, serving and erstwhile members of federal and state legislation.
He further extended the church's appreciation to their main speaker, Rev. Sekenwa Moses Briska, Ph.D., and all other speakers
He thanked international Ecumenical representatives: the Lutheran World Federation, World Council of Churches (WCC), the all Africa Conference of Churches, and mission partners, all political leaders and local government chairmen and all royal fathers in Adamawa State and Taraba States respectively.
He also applauded the General Secretary of the Fellowship of Churches of Christ in Nigeria (TEKAN), leaders of other churches, particularly the HEKAN President Rev. Amos Kiri and the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Yola Bishop Dr. Dami Mamza, security operatives in the military and paramilitary forces, the LCCN Board of Trustees, LCCN bishops, pastors, subgroups, staff, and volunteers of the Church, the Centennial Planning Committee and its sub committees and members of the press
"We equally extend special thanks to individuals such as Chief Maurice Vunobolki, Prince Adewale Adebayo SDP Presidential Candidate (2023), Justice Nathan Musa, Chief Felix Tangwami, Mr. Caleb Andrew Myebangara, Prince Peter Fwa and many others, for their exceptional contributions.
"Your steadfast support and presence at the LCCN’s 100th Annual Convention were invaluable. Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, generous contributions, and for standing with us in fellowship. Your support was instrumental in making this historic gathering a profound testament to faith and unity". Archbishop Panti said.
He said that the church is deeply grateful for the love and commitment each of them has shown, reminding them that the body of Christ flourishes through collective strength and shared purpose and prayed God to bless them abundantly and reward their kindness.
