Fintiri Appoints Prof Danjuma DG Debt Mgt Agency

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved the appointment of Prof. Ibrahim Danjuma as the new Director General of the Debt Management Agency. The appointment, according to the release by Chief Press to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, is with immediate effect. "Prof. Danjuma is a distinguished academic and administrator with a proven track record. "He is a Fellow of the Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management. His notable positions include: Dean, School of Management and Information Technology, Modibbo Adama University, Yola, Chair and Head of Department of Business Administration and Management, American University of Nigeria, Yola". It added. Governor Fintiri had while congratulating Professor Danjuma on his appointment, cited his wealth of experience and accomplishments as an academic and administrator.  The Governor called on him to leverage his expertise to enhance the financial management of the State.

Recruitment: Adamawa CSC Receives 20,000 Applications in 24 Hrs

Adamawa State Civil Service Commission (CSC) says it has received over 20,000 applications from applicants within the first 24 hours. The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to a transparent and merit-based recruitment process for all applicants, in line with directives from Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. A statement issued to the press by the Permanent Secretary of the Commission, Abubakar Umar Maiha, assured the general public and prospective candidates of a level playing ground in the ongoing recruitment exercise. “We are committed to ensuring a fair and credible process for all applicants. Adamawa State Police Command has arrested no fewer than 148 suspects for kidnapping, armed robbery, culpable homicide and rape. The command recovered 11 AK-47 rifles, 20 locally fabricated assault rifles, 110 live rounds of ammunition, 2 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and 3 stolen vehicles, others. Appeal Court Yola Division has dismissed an appeal filed by the sacked Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Barr. Hudu Yunusa Ari. News Platform  The appellate court affirmed the ruling of Yola High Court presided by Justice Benjamin Lawan Manji, delivered on 9th July, 2024, and dismissed Hudu's appeal in its entirety for lacking in merit. Herbalist Nabbed for Killing 11 Years Old Boy in Adamawa

  The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a herbalist identified as Murtala Musa, over the death and mutilation of an 11-year-old boy in Kodomun village, Demsa Local Government Area. A release by the Spokesman of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said that the incident was reported to the police in Demsa on the 13th of April, 2025. SP Nguroje explained that the Village Head of Kodomun, Fancy Alifas and mother of the victim had reported the matter. According to him, the woman had reported that her son, Yangapwa David, aged 11, was taken to the said herbalist for treatment but unfortunately died while in his custody. Fintiri Appoints Emir of Fufore Sani Ribadu Amirul Hajj

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has appointed the Emir of Fufore, Alhaji Muhammadu Sani Ribadu, as the Amirul-Hajj and leader of the government delegation for the 2025 Hajj exercise to Saudi Arabia. A release by the Humwashi Wonosikou, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor said that the appointment is based on Ribadu's hard work, experience, and commitment to religious matters in the state. Other members of the delegation according to the release include: Alhaji Muhammad Buba Jidjiwa, Barr. A T Shehu, Alhaji Ibrahim Abba, Alhaji Abubakar Murtala and Alhaji Mohammed Dabo (Secretary) Governor Fintiri charged the committee to be dedicated to their assignment, ensuring a hitch-free 2025 Hajj operation.  He also tasked the delegation to collaborate with relevant agencies for a successful operation.
