Adamawa Police Arrest 148 Suspects, Recover 11 AK-47 Rifles
Adamawa State Police Command has arrested no fewer than 148 suspects for kidnapping, armed robbery, culpable homicide and rape.
The command recovered 11 AK-47 rifles, 20 locally fabricated assault rifles, 110 live rounds of ammunition, 2 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and 3 stolen vehicles, others.
The Command disclosed this in release signed by its Spokesman, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje and made available to newsmen in Yola, Adamawa state.
According to the release, the command's strategic move has yielded significant outcome which resulted in the arrest of numerous suspects for kidnapping, armed robbery, culpable homicide, rape amongst others as well as the recovery of arms and ammunition.
"In compliance with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, to develop an action plan aimed at minimizing crimes, the Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State, CP Dankombo Morris, has re-designed the Command’s operational/intelligence capabilities and intensified security measures to address emerging threats and reduce crime within the state". It added.
However, the Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo, commended the gallant officers and men involved in these successful operations and assured the public that the Command will spare no effort in ensuring the safety and security of all residents in Adamawa State.
