Adamawa Police Launch Investigation into the Killing of Thomas Godwin Zamfara



The Adamawa State Police Command has expressed saddenes over the gruesome murder of Hon. Thomas Godwin alias Zamfara.


However, the police has deployed detectives to unravel circumstances surrounding the killing of Hon. Godwin Thomas Zamfara and arrest the perpetrators.


Godwin Thomas Zamfara was killed by unknown persons on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 as confirmed by the Spokesman of the Police Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje.


According to SP Nguroje, preliminary reports indicate that the victim was attacked by unknown person(s) while returning home. He was reportedly beaten with sticks and clubs, resulting in his death.


"The Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command, Dankombo Morris, has Directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police Incharge of Investigation (DC SCID) to carry a full-scale investigation into the incident.


" Team of detectives has been deployed to conduct investigation and ensure that the perpetrators are identified and brought to justice. 


"The Command while praying for the departed soul to rest in peace. urges members of the public to give useful information that will aid investigation". He added.
