Boko Haram: Adamawa Police Deploy Personnel in Kwapre
Adamawa State Police Command has deployed more security personnel in Kwapre community, Hong LGA following attack which claimed several lives mostly vigilante.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Morris Dankombo, reiterated the commitment to tackling violent crimes for peace and stability.
This is contained in a release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, and made available to newsmen in Yola, Adamawa state.
"The command in sustaining collaboration with sister security agencies particularly the Military, continues to demonstrate its commitment to improve security across the border to prevent violent crimes, protect lives and property, arrest and recover illegal possession of firearms, amongst others, deployed more men to augment the security strength in Kopre, Hong LGA
"These deployments follow an ambush laid on Hunters and some civilian JTF by heavily armed men in the late hours of 26/4/2025 in Kopre, a village sharing border with Borno state, Hong LGA.
"The commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, warned the officers deployed to display talent, professionalism, prompt response as part of strategy to prevent all forms of violent crimes in those areas. The CP further reiterates the commitment of the command to protect the lives and property of citizens.
"The police Boss demonstrate the effectiveness of intelligence-led policing and the dedication of the officers deployed in combating crime across the border. The command urges the public to continue cooperating with law enforcement agencies by providing timely information that can aid in preventing crime and ensuring public safety". He explained.
