Sen Iya Abbas Attends Thomas Godwin Zamfara's Burial, Condoles Family

 




Senator representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District, Aminu Iya Abbas, on Thursday, attended the burial ceremony of the PDP Chieftain, the late Thomas Godwin Zamfara.


Thomas Godwin Zamfara was gruesomely murdered by unknown persons on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in Hong LGA.


Senator Abbas attended the burial ceremony of the deceased in Kala'a, Hong LGA, along side the Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, former Minister of Education and PDP Stakeholder, Dr. Idi Hong and several other dignitaries.


In his condolence message, Senator Iya Abbas, described the deceased as a good man whose contributions have left indelible mark not only in Hong but across Adamawa state.


Senator Iya Abbas who expressed sadness over the killing of Zamfara, and prayed God to bring an end to such senseless attack and expose those behind it.


He sympathised with the immediate family of the deceased and his entire constituents, and prayed God give them fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and eternal rest to the departed.


On his part, the former Minister of Education and PDP Chieftain Adamawa State, Dr. Idi Hong, consoled the family and called on security agencies to arrest those behind it for justice to take it course.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM.
