ADHA CONFIRMS USMAN AHMAD AS ACTING AUDITOR GENERAL

Adamawa state House of Assembly on Monday confirmed the appointment of Usman Ahmad, as the Acting Auditor General for the state.


This followed the consideration of letter sent to the Honourable House, by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, which was read at a resumed plenary session on Monday, by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas.


Governor Fintiri, earlier requsted the Honourable Members to confirm Ahmad as Acting Auditor General pursuant to section 4(3) of the state Audit Law 2016.


NEWS PLATFORM who obtained the copy of the letter, reports that the confirmation was sequel to a motion to that effect by the Majority of the House, Hon. Hammatukur Yetisuri(Jada Mbulo).


After the confirmation, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, directed the clerk of the House to communicate the resolution of the Members to Governor Fintiri, for further action.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM.
