REP NAMDAS COMMISSIONS QUARTERS FOR DOCTORS, CONSULTANTS IN ADAMAWA

Member representing Ganye, Jada, Toungo and Mayo Belwa constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas, on Saturday commissioned twin two-bedroom flats at Jada general hospital, an outlet of the Federal Medical Centre, Yola.

Namdas who used the occasion and marked Democracy Day, said that he is happy because Doctors and Consultants assigned to the hospital will now have a place to live and render health services to the people of the area.

While appreciating the Medical Director of the FMC for sighting the outreach in Jada to cover Ganye, Toungo, Mayo-Belwa, and Jada local governments, Namdas said that the outreach will reduce the rate of people going to Yola and other places for medical services as well as provide quality health care delivery to the people.

"Today is Democracy Day and as the Representative of the people, I feel the better way to celebrate the day is by commissioning projects that have a direct effect on the people of my constituency. These doctors' quarters will go a long way in ensuring prompt and effective health care service delivery to the people of Jada, Ganye, Toungo, and Mayo-Belwa LGAs.

"Doctors and consultants who hitherto lived in Yola and travel to Jada to deliver their services now have a place well furnished to stay and do their work comfortable," Namdas said.

Responding, the representative of the Medical Director of the FMC, Yola, Dr. while appreciating the lawmaker said the facility will help doctors posted to the outreach to carry out their duties effectively.

"Before now, our doctors were living inside the town which makes it difficult for them to respond to urgent calls mostly at night because of the security situation we've found ourselves in. But with these buildings, doctors will be stationed here and they will be able to respond to calls and render services to people anytime they are called upon," he said.

Also speaking, the Chairman All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal who graced the commissioning ceremony congratulated the member and the people of his constituency for celebrating Democracy Day with such a project.

Alh Bilal said Namdas has wiped away their tears with numerous projects and empowerment programs he has been carrying out since assuming office. He also appreciates Namdas for facilitating the recruitment of young men and women into the Nigerian Army, Police, and other paramilitary agencies.

The commissioning was attended by a former member of the House of Representatives, Fons Nwangubi, members of the state executive council.of the APC in the state, other party stakeholders and sons and daughters of the constituency.
