A Yola female POS Operator, Esther Felix of Bayero Hungushi street in Jimeta Yola, Adamawa state has swindled the sum of N.659million of her Boss, Edet Okposong, which she used and bought clothes.
The middle age girl told Chief Magistrate Court II in Yola on Tuesday that she converted the money to her personal use where she used over N450, 000 and bought clothes, saying that she actually committed the crime.
Already, the court presided by Magistrate Japhet Ibrahim Basani, ordered that the girl be remanded in Yola prison custody having pleaded guilty to the allegation of criminal breach of trust and cheating filed against her by the prosecution.
The court however adjourned the matter to the 30th June, 2021 so as to enable the prosecution call a witness to corroborate the plea of the defendant.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Inspector Boyom Alex, who arrainged the accused bofere the court, prayed the court that the content therein the First Information Report be read to her after which she pleaded guilty.
The prosecution informed the court that Edet apprached SIB where he reported that the girl was his operating agent at his POS shop located along Galadima Aminu way, and that she diverted his money which amounted to N.659million for her personal use.
