Adamawa State House of Assembly has on Monday joined hundreds of sympathizers in condoling the family of one its correspondents, Maxwell Nashon who was murdered in cold blood by unidentified persons in Yola last week.
Until his glorious exit, Nashion was the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Fombina FM's House of Assembly correspondent.
A statement by the Vice Chairman House Standing Committee on Information and member representing Shelleng, Hon. Abubakar Isa described the death of the Correspondent as unfortunate and huge loss to the family, Fombina, NUJ and the House of Assembly.
The statement specifically expressed heartfelt sympathy to the Management of Fombina FM Yola, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) over the untimely death of the season broadcaster.
According to the statement, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, other Honourable Members and the entire staff of the House received the news of Maxwell's killing with rude shock, describing him as a hardworking journalist who exhibited passion and patriotism in his work.
It added that the death of Maxwell Nashon is a great loss not only to the journalism profession but the entire state, and prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and for the God to comfort the family he left behind.
