EX-PASTOR TAKES WIFE TO YOLA HIGH COURT OVER DISRESPECT, SEEKS DISSOLUTION OF MARRIAGE
Erstwhile Acting Pastor of the Redeem Christian Church of God, Olagunju Oladipo has dragged his wife, Omotosho Kiken to a Yola High Court in Adamawa state over wife's disrespect and cruelty.
However, the man prayed the court to dissolve the marriage contracted about 19 year ago as he will no longer continue to live with her anymore.
The couple who live in Yola, the Adamawa state capital got marriage on 15th July, 2000 at the Marriage Registry of the High Court of Justice Olurunda Local Government Area of Osun state.
The petitioner and the respondent who appeared in court today, alleged that his wife is rude and not submissive to him, and that she has consistently maintained a cruel disposition towards him.
He informed the court that due to the respondent's disrespect, rude and cruel disposition towards him, on two occasions engaged in physical fight and he had to run out of his matrimonial home for safety to Kajulu, in Kajulu LGA in Kaduna state.
He added that it was his wife who dictates on issues, on the kind of education to bequeaths their 2 kids, and that he has no say on matters affecting his family.
Olagunju pleaded with the court to put a knife into the marriage as it has broken down irretrievably and that the wife has been cruel and have behaved in a manner that he cannot reasonably be expected to live with her.
The court presided by Hon. Justice Nathan Musa adjourned the matter to 17th February, 2020 for defence, and advised the couple not to continue behaving like the way do, as they have kids to take care of them and even asked the wife to greet the husband which she did in the court.
