GOV FINTIRI, WORLD BANK RECEIVE ADHA'S COMMENDATION OVER RAMP II PROJECTS
Adamawa State Government and the World Bank have received pat on the back for embarking on the rehabilitation of rural feeder roads in and around the state.
The State Government and the World Bank through Rural Access and Mobility Projects (RAMP II) have commenced the rehabilitation of rural roads in the state so as to ease mobility, connect and open up the rural roads for socio economic development.
The House of Assembly Standing Committee on Infrastructure and Community Development of the State House of Assembly made the commendation during an on the spot assessment of Parda- Muninga and and Yolde Pate- Yadim roads in Fufore Local Government Area.
The Member of the Committee, Hon. Japheth Kefas (Gombi Constituency) commended the Construction Company for adhering to the contract agreement, saying that the Contractor has tried his best in the construction work.
Hon. Kefas thanked the State Government and the World bank for establishing RAMPII, explaining that the rehabilitation of rural roads is part of their campaign promises to delivering dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroot.
He urged the Contractor to expedite effort so as to complete the construction work within the specified period of time in order to ease the movement of goods and services.
In his remarks, the Member Representing Verre Constituency, Hon. Abdullahi Umar Yapak said that Yolde Pate-Yadim is one of the roads that link his constituency with the State capital and thanked the government for awarding contract for the rehabilitation of the road.
Hon. Yapak stated that he is happy that the rehabilitation of the road has become a reality and called on the benefiting communities to corporate with the company for the progress of the work.
On his part, Hon. Shuaibu Babas (Fufore Gurin) thanked the World Bank and State Government for awarding the rehabilitation of roads in his constituency and urged the Chairman Fufore LGC to supervise the work.
Baring their minds, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Fufore LGA, James Beka and former Administrator Yadim State Development Area, Alhaji Hamma Adama Ahijo appreciated the State Government and the World Bank for the effort.
