Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State
Amidst wild celebration of the legal victory by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state at the Supreme Court in Abuja Tuesday, the Governor has stormed Yola, the state capital with a vow to probe previous governments in the state.
This is in line with his resolved to ensure accountability, probity, equity and political balance in the act of governance in the state.
Governor Fintiri who was addressing a tumultuous crowd who besieged Mahmadu Ribadu Square Wednesday to welcome him back, announced his intention to go tough on past corrupt public office holders who siphoned public funds meant for the development of the state.
He told the gathering that the corrupt practices perpetrated in the previous administrations have crippled most especially Local Government administrations in the state and the entire system of governance.
According to him, the government of the day has zero tolerance on corruption and as such no any corrupt government official will be spared in the war against the cankerworm.
He thanked God for giving him the victory at the Apex Court and appreciated the people of the state for electing him to serve them, calling on the opposition political parties in the state to come and join hands with him in order to move the state forward.
