MAN IN YOLA HIGH COURT FOR A LINK WITH A DEATH BODY


A man, Saddam Umar of Owerre street, Upper Luggere in Yola North Local Government Area, Adamawa state linked with a death body found at Bayero Hungushi in Yola has appeared before Yola High.

Saddam has been charged to court for alleged "conspiracy, culpable homicide and causing hurt from the same cause of action".

According to First Information Report (FIR), a piece of information received from one Buba Hassan of Army Barracks road in Jimeta Yola revealed that a death body was found laying down inside a soak away in the house and premises of one Samuel Paul of Bayero Hungushi in Jimeta Yola.

The scene of the incident according to FIR was visited by the Police men, and that the death body was found laying in a pool of blood while the suspect knew about the the incident but declined comment.

It added that Saddam Umar had information about the death body but refused to report the matter to the police on 1st April, 2019 Contrary to Section 105 Laws of Adamawa State 2015.

A suit number ADSY/167/2019/ indicated that the suspect was earlier on arraigned before Upper Area Court I, and Chief Magistrate Court Yola town for failure to give information to the Police.

But the man who is now standing trial at the High Court presided by Hon. Justice Abdul-Aziz Waziri, was granted bail with the sum of #2million, a surety who must be a district or village head and that he should be reporting to the Registrar of the court fortnightly.
