GANYE FIRE DISASTER: ADHA MP COMMISERATES WITH VICTIMS, SEEKS INTERVENTION

Following a fire disaster which wrecked havoc in Ganye market on Saturday, the Member representing Ganye constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly Hon. Alhassan Hammanjoda has extended his heartfelt sympathy to victims of the inferno in his constituency.

The Honourable member however sought for government's intervention on behalf of the victims of the fire disaster where it razed down about 20 shops, warehouses and other valuables.

A statement by the Lawmaker's Media Office which was made available to NEWS PLATFORM in Yola Sunday, expressed heartfelt commiserations to victims over the unfortunate incident.

Hon. Alhassan said he was deeply saddened by the level of destruction recorded and appealed for government's intervention in order to cushion the effect of hardship felt by the victims.

The Lawmaker specifically sympathised with the Gangwari Ganye, Alhaji Umaru Adamu Sanda, the executive Chairman Ganye Local Government Council, Traders' Associations, other businessmen and women and the entire people of the area over the disaster, and prayed God to turn their losses into greater blessings.

Hon. Alhassan who is also the Chairman House Standing Committee on Rural Infrastructure and Community Development of the state Assembly said he shares in the pain of all hardworking businessmen who lost their shops and other belongings to the unfortunate incident.

He promised to communicate the issue to the State Assembly for it to mandate the Emergency Management Agencies to intervene so to ameliorate the plight of the affected.
