5,000 BUSINESS WOMEN TO BENEFIT FROM SEN IYA ABBAS' GRANT



No fewer than 5,000 business women across Adamawa Central Senatorial District are expected to benefit from Senator Aminu Iya Abbas' cash grant.


Sen. Iya Abbas, who represents Adamawa Central Senatorial District, made this known during a meeting with his LG Coordinators and 2023 Senatorial Campaign Council in Yola, Adamawa state.


He informed them that he is working towards facilitating cash grant to 5,000, business women and men across the 7 LGAs which comprise central senatorial district. 


The meeting which was fruitful reflected on his representation in the last 14 months as the senator representing Adamawa central and fashioned out ways to enable him meet the yearnings of his electorate. 


Sen. Abbas who is the Chairman Senate Committee on Innovation, Science and Technology said he will soon embark on inspection visit to various infrastructural projects completed and ongoing he facilitated in the Senatorial zone and meet with his people. 


He added that there is need to meet with the campaign council to highlight the successes recorded so far which necessitated the idea of the enlarged meeting to bring everybody on board.


The lawmaker who is among the most outstanding Senators in the National Assembly, saluted Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his giant strides and called for unity among the political class in the State to ensure progress and peace.


He assured that he will strive to work towards bringing more people oriented projects and will welcome ideas that will assist him in improving the quality of life of his constituents


While thanking the 2023 campaign structure for it support, Abbas promised to continue strive to attract dividends of democracy through robust and effective representation, adding that he will continue to support government efforts aimed at guaranteeing peace, security and welfare of the people.


Speaking earlier the Director General Aminu Iya Abbas 2023 Campaign Council, Alh. Usman Muhammad Kaura said Senator Aminu's kind of representation was rare to find, hence should be encouraged and supported politically for good things to continue in Adamawa Central and beyond. 


In their seperate contributions during the meeting, some members of the steering committee said that, the senator has broken the jinx and has become a shining example to the people of Adamawa Central and the state in general.


They have also thumbed up the lawmaker for his quality representation which they described as one the best and prayed God to bless and strengthen him.
