ADHA PASSES BILL TO ESTABLISH TEACHERS SERVICE COMMISSION, 2 OTHERS



The lawmakers at the Adamawa State House of Assembly on Monday, enacted a bill for a law to establish the Adamawa State Teachers Service Commission.


The Honourable Members also passed 2 other bills including a bill for a law to repeal Adamawa State College of Nursing and Midwifery law number 2 of 2017 and re-enactment of Adamawa State College of Nursing Science law.


Other bill is for a law to establish the Adamawa State Health Supplies Management Agency Law 2014, which repealed the Adamawa state essential drugs programme edict 1996.


The passage of the 3 bills followed a motion for its third reading moved by the Deputy Majority Leader and member representing Maiha constituency, Hon. Ahmed jingi Belel during resumed plenary.


After the passage, the Speaker of the assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, directed the clerk of the assembly to prepare a clean copy of the bills for Governor's assent.


During the sitting, the legislators also considered 2 separete reports just as other 2 executive bills were received  by speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, for further legislative action.
