MUBI NORTH LEGISLATOR DONATES 2,000 BAGS OF GRAINS TO CONSTITUENTS


The member representing Mubi North constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Paul Samuel, has donated no fewer than 2,000 bags of food items to his constituents.


The food items donated include bags of maize and rice to 11 political wards which comprise Mubi North constituency.



Hon. Paul Samuel, had while donating the food items to cross section of his electorate on Wednesday, explained that the food items were donated in consideration of biting hunger in the society.


The Lawmaker told his electorate at the event that the gesture was part of his 2024 constituency project, explaining that it is meant to appreciate his constituents for their support to him.


Hon. Paul, said that he had supplied the food items through the Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA) to be shared to his electorate in view of hardship in the land.



He informed them that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, had approved the release of the lawmakers' constituency allowances through POWECA to buy food for distribution to help in fighting hunger in their various constituencies.


He appreciated Governor Fintiri for the approval to enable the Honourable Members reach out to their electorate with food support and promised to provide more people oriented representation as promised during campaign.


Several stakeholders including APC officials, supporters applauded the legislator for embarking in food intervention project, adding that stomach infrastructure should be accorded needed priority at this critical time than any other project.


Some stakeholders used the opportunity and appreciated Governor Fintiri for approving the release of constituency allowances to the members to supply food for distribution to their electorate.
