SONG LAWMAKER DONATES SEWING MACHINES, CASH, COMMISSIONS BLOCK OF CLASSROOMS




In his effort towards empowering his electorate, the member representing Song constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Kefas, has donated assorted empowerment items to his electorate.


Hon. Emmanuel donated 29 sewing machines, bags of maize as well as cash to his elctorate as part of his 2024 constituency project with a view to make them become self reliant.


In his quest to complement the effort of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri led adminstration in improving the standard of education, the legislator commissioned a block of classrooms and office at Dolom Primary School in Dirma, Song LGA.


Aside the empowerment programme, Hon. Emmanuel Kefas, who is the Chairman House Standing Committee on Security, rehabilitated several industrial boreholes across 11 wards, constructed block of classrooms and distributed over 3,000 exercise books to pupils in public schools.


The event attracted dignataries including the for member Song/Fufore House of Representatives, Hon. Saidu Mustapha, Several Hon. Members of the assembly, Chairman Song LGC, Hon. Yahaya Idris, his Vice, Hon. Donan Prambe friends and well wishers.





Speaking while commissioning /donating the empowerment items, the Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, congratulated Song electorate for electing Hon. Emmanuel to be their representative.


Rt. Hon. Bathiya, commended the Hon. Member for executing the projects and described him as credible leader who has the interest of his people at heart, and urged him not to relent in empowering his constituents.


According to him, the food intervention programme of the Lawmaker will go along way in reducing the level of hunger in the society and pleaded with those that could not get to exercise patient and wait for another time.


He further appealed to those saddled with the responsibility of distributing the food items to be fair, just and strive to justify the confidence reposed in them and expressed satisfaction with the programme of the legislator whom he described as his friend.


In his remarks, the member representing Song constituency, Hon. Emmanuel Kefas, said that he decided to come and meet with constituents again and thank them for their support to him and Governor Fintiri led administration.


Hon. Emmanuel Kefas, told the gathering that he was able to carry out some developmental projects in one year of his assumption of office, and promised to do everything possible to provide good representation to constituents and Adamawa state in general.


While at the commissioning ceremony of 1 block of classrooms and office, Hon. Emmanuel disclosed that the project was started by the erstwhile Rep member, Hon. Dr. Mustapha and decided to complete it for the pupils to have a conducive atmosphere for learning.


The lawmaker appreciated his entire electorate for their support to him, and reiterated his commitment towards serving them effectively.


In his comments at the event, the Director General Poverty Allegation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA) who was represented by the Director Monitoring and Evaluation, Sani Abdulkadir, said that the empowerment items were procured by the lawmker to reach out to his electorate.


According to him, it was the agency that was given the constituency allowances and supplied the food items for the members, saying that the food items is to help in reducing hunger in the society.


He explained that Governor Ahmadu Fintiri led administration had approved constituency allowances to the members to empower their electorate, and hailed the cordial working relationship between Fintiri and the assembly.


In his welcome address, the Chairman of the PDP Song, Hon. Ishaku Bala Tebel, commended the member for his giant strides, saying that the member has been doing his best in his representation.


In his goodwill message, the former member Song/Fufore House of Representatives, Hon. Dr. Mustapha Saidu, thanked the legislator for the gesture.


Hon. Dr. Mustapha, urged the member to continue in empowering his constituents to make them feel the impact of the present administration.


On his part, the Chairman Song LGC, Hon. Idris Yahaya said that Song entirely is solidly behind the member and that they are ready to support him, and urged his electorate to support him to enable him succeed.


Also speaking, the Development Area Administrator, Hon. Stephen Garba, said that he knows what the lawmker can do and assured them that the member is equal to the task as he will provide them with people oriented stewardship.


In his welcome address, the Chairman of the PDP Song LGA, Hon. Ishaku Bala Tebel, said that the empowerment programme is just the beginning as the member is working hard to empower more of his electorate and pledged the royalty of Song to the member.


Meanwhile, the member and his delegation used the opportunity and paid courtesy visit on the District Head of Ditera, Alh. Ali Abubakar Alam.


Speaking at the palace of the District Head, Hon. Emmanuel Kefas, said that the visit was to extend their greetings to him and seek royal blessings.


Responding, the District Head appreciated the delegation for the visit, and assured the lawmker of unflinching support.
