A gang of armed men in the early hours of Saturday, killed the Deputy Leader Song Local Government Legislative Council, Adamawa state, Hon. Ishaya Bakano.
Late Hon. Ishaya, who represents Gudu Mboi Ward was shot dead by the suspected gunmen shortly after they whisked him away from his residence at Bannga in the LGA.
A source told NEWS PLATFORM that the suspected gunmen also shot the son of the deceased, and that he is currently receiving treatment at Song hospital.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, confirmed the incident to NEWS PLATFORM.
The spokesman said the incident happened in the early hours of today, and that the security are doing everything possible to arrest the suspects.
