FCE YOLA PROVOST TASKS STAFF ON TEAM WORK, CAPACITY DEVT




The Acting Provost, Federal College of Education, Yola, Johnson Blo Malgwa, has tasked the staff of the institution on team work and capacity development in order to achieve the desired result of the college.


Equally, the Provost has cautioned the staff against divulging classified and authorized government information to the public. 


Malgwa, had while receiving the Staff of the College Procurement Department led by the new Head of Department, Hamza Halilu on a courtesy call to his office on Wednesday, further urged the staff to be dedicated to their duties for the progress of the institution.


He appealed to them to maintain teamwork and strive to develop their capacity through attendance in workshops and seminars/training, as well as by furthering their education.


Malgwa, while reminding them of the need to abide by the oath of secrecy in the discharge of their duties, charged the department to always check to ensure that supplies are done properly.

Speaking, the new Head of the Procurement Department, Hamza Halilu, informed the Acting Provost of their collective resolve to work as a team and assured him that the department will improve service delivery to the College.


In a remark, the Senior Assistant Registrar in the Department, Usman A. Abule emphasized the importance of Need Assessment and Market Survey functions of the Procurement Department, saying it is significant in cutting down government expenses and prompts transparency in the procurement process.


In a vote of thanks, Engr. Hassan Sani Hassan and Felicia Taru expressed appreciation to Management for supporting the department and the Provost for emphasizing the need for confidentiality and solicited more training and retraining on contemporary issues bordering on Procurement for every staff of the department.
