Acting Provost Federal College of Education(FCE), Yola, Johnson Malgwa, has reaffirmed the commitment of the college towards producing quality teachers for the development of basic education in the country.
According to the Acting Provost, the mission and vision of the institution is to produce effective and efficient teachers for the development of basic education nationwide.
The Acting Provost stated this while congratulating the newly elected officials of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Adamawa State Council.
Malgwa, in a release by the Principal Information Officer of the college, Bashiru Abdullahi, expressed the readiness of the institution to partner with NUJ and other relevant bodies in its mission of producing effective and efficient teachers.
He added that the teacher training institution is proud to associate itself with the union and reiterated its commitment to collaborating with NUJ towards promoting basic education in the country.
He congratulated the newly elected Chairman, Comrade Ishaka Donald Dedan on his re-election as well as other officials, and wished them a successful tenure.
He tasked the union members to remain steadfast in their social responsibility of building public understanding on issues in a way that advances public knowledge on issues.
