ADAMAWA CP DEPLOYS PERSONNEL, ASSURES OF PEACEFUL SALLAH




The Adamawa State Police Command has assured citizens of efforts to improve public safety and security across the state during and after the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.


To this end, the Commissioner of Police(CP) S. K. Akande, has ordered for the deployment of officers and men of the command to ensure water tight security across the state. 


CP Akande, in a statement by the Commasnd's spokesman, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, and made available to NEWS PLATFORM on Friday, assured of safety during the cerlebration.


The Police Boss however cautioned officers to display high level of professionalism while protecting lives and property of the citizens in the state.


He stated that the CP has put in place adequate security measures to protect the citizens, ensure the success of all the activities lined-up for the Sallah celebration.


According to him, the Command is ready to prevent any act capable of breaking down law and order before, during and after the celebration. 


"Consequently, the CP directed Deputy Commissioner of Police Department of Operation to coordinate and ensure all the Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Operational Commanders lead the Sallah celebration themselves",  Akande added.


He said that they are to also ensure high visibility policing, stop and search operation and confidence building patrols around the Eid grounds, venues of the celebrations, residential areas and other places of public resort to prevent any infiltration by hostile elements. 


He congratulated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, and the entire people of the State on the occasion of the Sallah celebration.


S. K. Akande, called on the citizens to go about their celebrations in the most peaceful and law abiding manner and  report any suspicious person(s) around their neighborhoods to the nearest Police or the following mergency numbers 08089671313 and 08036617428.
