POLICE RECRUITMENT: 15,836 YOUTHS JOSTLE FOR 300 SLOTS IN ADAMAWA
No fewer than 15, 836 unemployed youths in Adamawa state have applied for enlistment into the Nigeria Police Force(NPF). The entire applicants are jostling for 300 slots allocated to all the 21 Local Government Areas cut across the state. All the LGAs in Adamawa are expected to get roughly 14 slots for its indigenes, so as to be in line with the provisions of Federal Character Commission. A reliable source close to the headquarters of the state Police Command told NEWS PLATFORM that the command is only recruiting 300, being a number allocated to it by Police Service Commission in Abuja. It was further learnt that 10,000 are expected to be recruited across the 774 LGAs in the country, a situation which has made thousands of the youths disappointed and without any hope of securing employment.
