ADAMAWA MPs SET TO ESTABLISH OFFICE OF THE SURVEYOR - GENERAL

Lawmakers at the Adamawa State House of Assembly are considering enacting a bill for a law to make provision for the establishment of the Office of the Survey - General, Appointment thereof Surveyor of Lands in the state.

The bill to that effect sponsored by Haruna Jilantikiri(Madagali) was read for the 2nd time at a special plenary session presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas on Friday.

The 2nd reading of the bill followed a motion by the sponsor where he prayed the house to support the second reading of the bill.

After the second reading, the Speaker, Rt, Hon. Aminu Iya abbas, committed it to the Committee on Works, Land and Survey, and directed it to scrutinise the bill and report back whenever the House resumes.
