Member representing Mubi South Constituency at the State House of Assembly, Hon. Musa Umar Bororo, has empowered 800 constituents with cash, motorcycles, sewing machines as well as relief materials.
According to APC Legislator, the cash and other empowerment materials distributed will go a long way to boost the economy of households of 300 women and 500 men beneficiaries.
Hon. Bororo, expressed commitment towards delivering more dividends of democracy to the people of his constituency, and urged the beneficiaries to judiciously utilise the items for the purpose intended.
Speaking while distributing the items at Sali Isa Hall in Mubi, Hon. Bororo, said that the empowerment programme was aimed at improving the economic well-being of his electorate across 10 political wards in Mubi south LGA.
He informed them that the kind gesture was part of his effort towards fulfilling his campaign promises, and expressed optimism that the materials will aid in reducing poverty among teeming youths, women and other vulnerable groups in the society.
He maintained that the best form of empowerment is not only to dole out cash to people, but providing them with items that would enable them to make a living, pledging to put in more effort in reaching out to more youths.
In his remarks, Special Guest of Honour and the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, congratulated the Legislator for his effort towards promoting the living standard of his electorate.
Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas who was represented by the Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Hammantukur Yettisuri, said that the Members of the Assembly are doing everything possible towards providing people oriented representation.
On his part, Hon. Shaibu Dan Musa (Mubi North) commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Finitiri for releasing constituency project fund, and urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the cash support given to them.
Also speaking, the Chairman All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal who was represented by the Organising Secretary of party, Alhaji Ahmad Lawan said that the Member has proved to the people that they have voted for a representative who has their love at heart and urged other Lawmakers to emulate him.
In his welcome address, the Chairman APC, Mubi South LGA, Hon. Njobdi Kwoja, called on Mubi electorate not to relent in supporting the lawmaker so as to enable him succeed in transforming the lives of the electorate.
Responding, Representatives of the beneficiaries thanked the lawmaker for carrying them along and assured him of their total support and cooperation for the development of the area.
