Electorate in Michika Local Government Area, Adamawa state have took to the street in celebration as the member representing the constituency at the House of Assembly, Hon. Joseph Ayuba Kwada, has again donated a car to Bazza Divisional Police headquarters.
The two term Legislator also disbursed #.6million cash to Muslim Council of Nigeria, Michika chapter, Keke NAPEP Association, Youth Groups as well as cross section of supporters as part of Sallah gifts.
This is the third time the Member is donating patrol vehicle to security operatives in the LGA in less than 6 months as part of his contribution towards complementing the effort of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and President Muhammad Buhari in addressing security challenges in the area.
Speaking while donating 406 Peugeot to Bazza Divisional Police headquarters on Saturday, the Member representing Michika popularly known as the Depolis, said that the security of lives and property of his constituents is his major concern, and that he is ready to contribute his part for their safety.
Hon. Ayuba Kwada told the gathering that the execution of capital projects is not part of his responsibility, but deemed it necessary to support in the maintenance of security in Michika.
The Lawmaker noted that the kind gesture will assist the police in combating crime in the affected LGA, saying he is aware of the logistics challenges most of the security personnel are facing in his constituency, hence his decision to purchase another vehicle for them.
While promising to continue in providing people oriented representation to his voters, Hon. Joseph Ayuba Kwada, congratulated them and urged them to effectively use the vehicle provided, assuring them of his willingness to render more assistance whenever they have any problem.
Responding while receiving the keys of the vehicle, the Divisional Police Officer(DPO) Ezekiel Wayu, thanked the member for his assistance to the officers and men of Bazza Division, saying that he is happy that the electorate had voted for a man that has security of lives and property of his people at heart.
He promised that the Division will make use of the vehicle in protecting people in Michika and beyond, calling on other politicians to borrow a leaf from the member so as to turn around the lives of their electorate.
In a vote of thanks, the Chairman Police Community Relations in Nigeria (PCRC), Bazza, Sylvester D. Wada, noted with delight the kind of assistance the member has been rendering to his constituency, saying that they have been hearing good news about his activities..
The Chairman said that recently they had cases of kidnapping in Delicim, Jigalambu and Kangra communities, and the police were stranded for lack of mobility, saying what Hon. Kwada has done is not for the police but people of Bazza and environs.
Sylvester D. Wada disclosed that this is the kind of representation people need and thanked him for the kind gesture, assuring him of their loyalty, support and cooperation so as to enable him succeed.
Meanwhile, the Honourable Member has extended his hearty felicitations to the Muslim community in his constituency on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Speaking at the office of the Muslim Council of Nigeria, Michika branch on Saturday, Hon. Kwada congratulated them for a successful celebration, and donated cash as sallah gift to the council.
He further asked them to give him the names of 2 Mosques so as to work on them, calling for unity, love for one another and peaceful coexistence in the interest of Michika.
He said that they do not have any other place except Michika and that they should allow people of selfish interest to divide them, saying that their unity is their progress.
Responding, the Chairman of the Council, Mohammed Usman appreciated the member for the visit, and prayed God to protect and continue to give him more wisdom in his stewardship.
The Chairman appealed to the Lawmaker to come to their aid and seek for the extension of time of curfew imposed on Michika and environs from 6:00pm upward, lamenting that the curfew has adversely affected businesses in Michika town.
In his remarks, a stakeholder, Alhaji Bappa Maigari, said that the Member has distinguished himself as a credible leader who cares about the wellbeing of his electorate, saying that since 1999, no politician has done what Depolis is doing for his people.
Also, the Honourable Member has visited the office of the of the Keke NAPEP Association in Michika and gave them cash, and promised to buy tricycles for the association to support their activities.
The PDP Lawmaker also commiserated with the families of PDP Women Leader, Jigalambu ward over the demise of her beloved father, former Councillor, Ishaku Gimba who lost his mother. He also sympathised with Mr Yuguda in Michika town over the death of his 2 children.
All the bereaved families thanked the member for identifying with them in their state of mourning, and prayed God to see him through in his representation.
