As part of efforts to reward and motivate dedicated staff, the Adamawa State House of Assembly Service Commission has presented an award of excellence to four of its outstanding employees with a call on their colleagues to emulate them for better services.
The Acting Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Bello Pur made the call while presenting the award to awardees on Wednesday, at the conference hall of the commission in Yola.
He said the award ceremony was set up to recognize and reward the committed, hardworking and dedicated staff of the commission in order to encourage others in line with Administrative Staff College of Nigeria recommendations.
Bello pur also commended the award selection committee for job well-done considering the well deserved staff recommended for the awards and urged the recipients of the award to redouble their efforts in the discharge of their duties.
He used the medium and appreciated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for providing logistics to the Commissioners of the state assembly commission to attend the workshop on Change and Management Innovation in the Public Service.
In her address, the Permanent Secretary Adamawa State House of Assembly Service Commission who double as the Secretary to the commission said the awardees were selected from each of the three departments while the other one is from the contract staff of the commission.
She added that all of them they were nominated best on their performance and call on other staff to emulate them.
Speaking Separately the Commissioner two and three of the commission Barrister Vidiyeno Bamaiyi and Barrister Zainab Ahmed congratulated the awardees describing the gesture as well deserved.
Responding on behalf of the recipients of the award Adamu Gambo of Finance department thanked the house service commission for recognizing them and promised to continue discharging their duties diligently.
Those awarded includes; Adamu Gambo from finance, Abbas Jauro from planing, phiona sylvanus from Administration department while Jacob David from the contract staff of the commission.
