TRIBUNAL BEGINS PRE-HEARING IN APC, SDP, AC GUBER CASES TODAY



Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has slated Monday 3rd July, 2023 for pre-hearing in petitions filed before it by Governorship Candidates.


The petitions filed before it include: Aishatu Binani (APC) verses INEC, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and PDP, Dr. Umar Ardo (SDP) verses INEC and 16 others and Action Alliance verses INEC and 3 others.


The pre-hearing which was earlier slated for 9:00pm, has been shifted to 1:00pm today.

The Chief Magistrate Court III sitting in Yola Adamawa State on Friday, ordered the remand of a Frontline Philantropist, Dr. Emmanuel Musa, and 3 others in prison custody for allegedly killing Thomas Godwin Zamfara. The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. Magistrate Adamu ordered the remand of Nakura when he was arraigned before him over multiple allegations slammed against him by the Adamawa State Police Command. Alh. Gambo Nakura was arraigned before the court for the offences of defamation of character, use of insulting and abusive language, disturbance of public peace and inciting disturbance contrary to sections 378, 379, 385 and 80 of the penal code law. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM. Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga. The leadership of the concerned citizens took a swipe at the erstwhile Governor for disrespecting the Royal Father, Michika Chiefdom and the entire good people of Michika.
