WOMEN ASSOCIATION HAILS BATHIYA'S EMERGENCE AS SPEAKER

An IDZAH Women Association Adamawa State has hailed the emergence of Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley as the Speaker of the 8th assembly.

The association led by Josephine Geoffrey (Mrs) hailed Bathiya's emergence during a courtesy visit on him in his office on Tuesday.

Josephine had while speaking during the visit, said that the members of the association were in his office to congratulate him on his re-election and subsequent emergence as the speaker.

She thanked Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as well as the members of the 8th assembly for supporting the election of the speaker, and assured him of their support as mothers.

She charged him to always stand by the truth and nothing but the truth while steering the affairs of the hallowed chamber for the progress of the state.

Responding, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya appreciated them for the visit and appealed to them to continue to pray for him like the way they have been doing since 2019.

Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley pledged the assembly's readiness to work hand in hand with the Governor Fintiri led administration for the development of the state.
