2 LOCAL HUNTERS ARRESTED FOR PAYING N400, 000 TO A MAN TO KILL THEIR NEIGHBOUR



Men of the Adamawa State Police Command have arrested 2 Local Hunters as well as one other for allegedly planning to abduct and kill their neighbour in Ganye Local Government Area.


Those arrested for the alleged offence include; Yohanna Gayus, 45, Maxwell Hamajoda, 38, both Local Hunters and residents of Detti village in Sugu district, allegedly hired Abdullahi Musa, 29, for the job.


The suspects were said to have hired the hitman and paid him the sum of N400, 000 to tactically abduct and kill a 28 year old Lawal Emmanuel, a farmer and their neighbour.


A statement by the image maker of the command, DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, and made available to NEWS PLATFORM on Tuesday, said that the operatives attached to Ganye Division arrested the suspects on the 24th January, 2022. 


According to him, the suspects had during interrogation confessed to have offered the sum of 400,000 to Abdullahi Musa, to carry out the job.


The statement extended the assurance of the Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ahmed Barde, to the good people of Adamawa of a sustained effort by the police in fighting crimes, improving public safety and security across the state.


He commended the operatives for the measures taken towards protecting life of an innocent as well as apprehending the criminal minded persons from committing their intended crime.
