MAN IN POLICE NET FOR KIDNAPPING 4 PEOPLE IN ADAMAWA LG



A 32 year old, Sani Idi of Buladega village of Mubi South Local Government Area, Adamawa state has been arrested for alleged kidnapping of 4 people in Gombi LGA.


The suspect was said to have confessed to the operatives of the state police command of abducting one Alhaji Oro Musa of Gombi LGA and 3 others in December, 2021.



According to the police command, a pistol with 6 rounds of live ammunitions, padlocks and chains used in tying victims were recovered from the suspect.


A release by DSP, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, which was made available to NEWS PLATFORM, on Wednesday, said that the operatives attached to Gombi Division arrested Sani on 4th January, 2022.


"The suspect during interrogation confessed to belonging to a syndicate of 6 who masterminded the kidnapping of Alhaji Oro Musa of Gombi LGA and 3 others sometimes December, 2021". Nguroje stated.


He extended the commendation of the Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ahmed Barde, to the operatives for arresting the suspect.


However, the release has directed all the Divisional Police Officers and their Supervisory Area Commanders to beef up effort in dislodging the crime network in their jurisdictions.


He added that the CP had assured that any person apprehended for violating the laws of the land or disrupting the public peace will be prosecuted accordingly.
