DITERA DISTRICT HEAD DIES AFTER 49 YRS ON THRONE IN ADAMAWA



The District Head of Ditera in Song Local Government Area, Adamawa state, Alhaji Yusuf Awulekyau, is dead.


Late Alhaji Yusuf and Iya Adamawa spent 49 years on the throne having ascended on the throne in 1973.

 

Barr. Abbas Adamu Hobon, confirmed the death to NEWS PLATFORM on Thursday on behalf of the family.


Barr. Abbas, said that the royal father died on Wednesday after a brief illness at the Federal Medical Centre((FMC), Yola.


He added that corpse leaves FMC Yola, for burial at Dirma in Song LGA by 2:00pm today.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. Magistrate Adamu ordered the remand of Nakura when he was arraigned before him over multiple allegations slammed against him by the Adamawa State Police Command. Alh. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM.
