ADAMAWA CJ DIRECTS RETURN OF APPEALS TO UPPER AREA COURTS

Adamawa State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Nathan Musa, has directed that henceforth all appeals emanating from Area Courts shall be filed at Upper Area Courts and no more High Court of Justice.

The directives followed Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's assent on a bill for the return of appeals from area courts to upper area courts enacted by the house of assembly recently.

This is contained in a release signed by the DCR Area Court, Adamu Abbas Hobon, for the Chief Registrar and made available to NEWS PLATFORM on Monday.

Justice Nathan, said that all appeals from area courts across the state shall now be filed at upper area courts before proceeding to high court of justice where necessary.
