LATE EX-PRINCIPAL, DANAILU SOOLAY, BURIED AMIDST TRIBUTES, TEARS



The remains of Danailu Soolay, a retired principal has been buried at his Mbai home town in Song Local Government Area, Adamawa state amidst tributes and tears.


The interment which took place on Saturday, followed a funeral service held at the deceased's compound at Unguwan Abuja, Girei town in Girei LGA.


Aged 62, Danailu, died and left behind wife, Makshena Danailu, 5 children, 3 grand children, aged mother and a brother, Micheal Soolay (Bnakim) of the Federal Road Safety Commission(FRSC) Numan.


The deceased and a retired principal passed onto glory in the early hours of Tuesday 4th January, 2022 at his residence at Unguwan Abuja after a brief illness. 


It was a glorious home call for Danailu, as family members and tens of other mourners thronged his compound for funeral service and at Mbai for interment.


There was, however, a gloomy atmosphere amidst tears and bitter exclamations in the air when the corpse arrived at the compound for service and at Mbai for burial.


Mourners from Yola, Girei town, Bidimchi, Ngawa, Salasa, Abamurke, Tambo, Jimoh, Song town, Satte, Sokoron, Jimbo, Dumne and several other place thronged the residence of the deceased to condole the bereaved family, pay last respect as well as witness the burial ceremony.


The funeral service and the interment was conducted by Reverend Kemuel Arbain, of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN) Girei District during which he admonished mourners to serve God faithfully as death is inevitable.


Several men of God including Bishop LCCN Yola Dioces, Reverend Shadrach Theophilous who spoke during the service, sympathised with the family and prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
